Privacy Policy

This policy explains which personal data UAB "Assistant Telematics" collects through this website and our documentation site docs.iot-at.com, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

Who is responsible

Contact form

When you send the contact form we receive what you enter: your name, e-mail address, phone number, company, subject and message. You can only send it after confirming that you have read this policy.

  • Purpose: to answer your enquiry and, if you ask for it, to prepare an offer or continue the business conversation.
  • Delivery: the message is sent by e-mail to our company mailbox. The website itself does not store it.
  • Retention: we keep it as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any business relationship that follows, then delete it.

Website analytics

We measure how this website and the documentation site docs.iot-at.com are used with our own analytics, built into both sites. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not use any third-party analytics service.

  • What is recorded: the pages you visit and how long they are visible, the website you came from, campaign tags in the link (UTM), approximate location (country, region, city), device type, browser, operating system, language and screen width, and actions on the site: button and link clicks, language switches, search terms, contact form topic and whether it was sent, and which documents are downloaded or opened on the documentation site.
  • Location: worked out on our own server from your IP address with an offline database; your IP address is not sent to anyone for this. IP Geolocation by DB-IP.
  • No IP address stored: your IP address is used only at the moment of the visit to create an anonymous ID, together with your browser's user-agent string and a random value that changes every day. The random value is deleted after two days, so the ID cannot be traced back to you or linked across days.
  • Search terms: terms that look like an e-mail address or a phone number are not recorded.
  • Retention: 13 months, then deleted automatically.
  • Processor: the analytics database is hosted by Supabase in the European Union on our behalf.

Hosting and security

The website runs on a server rented from Hostinger. To deliver pages and keep the site secure, the server processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details, for example in short-lived server logs.

The documentation site docs.iot-at.com is hosted by Vercel, which processes the same kind of technical data to deliver its pages. Its analytics data is sent to our own server and stored like the website's.

Supabase and Vercel are based in the United States, while our analytics data is stored in the European Union. Any transfer outside the European Union is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Legal basis

  • Contact form: your consent and the steps you ask us to take before a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
  • Analytics and hosting: our legitimate interest in running a secure website and understanding how it is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The analytics data does not identify you.

Your rights

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
  • Have it corrected or deleted, or its use restricted.
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
  • Receive data you gave us in a portable format.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect what was done before.
  • Complain to the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (vdai.lrv.lt) or the authority in your country.

Because the analytics data is anonymous, we cannot find or hand over the records of a specific visitor.
